Chapter 330 of the F&O, Local 3, SEIU, is thrilled to announce the resolution of the Woodland Pulp, LLC strike in Baileyville, Maine! 🤝✊ Our brothers, standing united with IAMAW, Local Lodge 1490, and the Millwrights, Local Lodge 1121, reached an agreement on November 21, 2023, ending the strike and returning members to work this Monday, November 27th.

After enduring an Unfair Labor Practice Strike for the past six weeks, our three unions rallied together in an unwavering display of solidarity against the company's attack on our core trades. 🤜🤛 Through tireless efforts and negotiations, we have successfully preserved our union core values while balancing the company's needs to have a more flexible work force and the union’s need to have respect for the work we do. The offer also includes General Wage increases for all and base wage adjustments for members in several job classifications bridging the wage gap.

Although the agreement is not perfect, it signifies a significant step towards a fairer and more balanced contract for all members involved. 📜💪 We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported our striking members, from Maine State Senate President Troy Jackson to local businesses and communities that stood by our side.

A special thank you to Eastern Maine Labor Council and Maine Food AND Medicine for generously donated Thanksgiving baskets, Bath Iron Works - Local S6 members, Steelworkers Local 27, IBEW Local 1507 members who stood with us, and V.L. Tammaro Oil Company, Inc., for providing a discount on home heating fuel for our members on strike. Your support has been instrumental in our success. We cannot express our gratitude enough for the overwhelming support from families, friends, and the local community. 🙏🌟 Congratulations to our members, and to everyone who stood in solidarity to make this victory possible. This achievement is a testament to the power of unity and collective action!

To Business Reps, Danny Loudermilk and Billy Barnwell from the IAMAW, Business Reps, Zack Middleton, Aaron Danielson and Ernest Johnson from Millwrights, Local 1121, President Mike Murphy and Executive Board member Andre Melanson from (Ch 330, F&O, Local 3, SEIU), President Joshua Kinney and Vice President Steve Campbell of IAMAW Local Lodge 1490 and President Ryan Beers and Vice President Darren Morrell of Millwrights Local Lodge 1121. Your unwavering dedication and leadership has been instrumental in uniting members, guiding negotiations, gathering support and ultimately reaching a contract that kept our members values at the forefront of this labor fight. I am so proud to have stood alongside all of you!

With gratitude, Lisa A. Ireson Business Agent, Firemen & Oilers, Local 3, SEIU
