The Brothers and Sisters at Somerville Hospital ratified a 3-year contract that improves the wage scale and adds steps for growth as well as base wage increases across the board. This round of bargaining focused largely on bringing up the wages of the members, there were no concessions and we did some housekeeping to clean up the contract as well. Congratulations to our members at CHA!

Myrtle Grullon, who has served Firemen & Oilers, Local 3, SEIU in various roles for five years, will transition to a new role with the union as a Field Representative. Before coming on staff at Local 3, Myrtle served as a union steward at the City of Lawrence in the Clerical bargaining unit for ten years. We are very excited about this transition!
