Lawrence Cafeteria Workers deliver petition to School District regarding ServeSafe petition stipend

On February 21st 2023, Local 3 members at the Lawrence Public Schools traveled to the Lawrence Public Schools District Office to deliver their petition demanding that they be paid the same ServeSafe Stipend that the Lunch Aids negotiated. Our members must maintain the same certification as the Lunch Aids but are not compensated for it. The Lawrence Cafeteria Workers worked through the pandemic to keep the children of Lawrence fed. We ask that Lawrence pay them for this certification. The petition as well as photos from the action are viewable below.
El 21 de febrero de 2023, los miembros del Local 3 de las Escuelas Públicas de Lawrence viajaron a la Oficina del Distrito de las Escuelas Públicas de Lawrence para entregar su petición exigiendo que se les pague el mismo estipendio ServeSafe que los ayudantes de almuerzo negociaron. Nuestros miembros deben mantener la misma certificación que los ayudantes de almuerzo, pero no reciben compensación por ello. Los trabajadores de la Cafetería de Lawrence trabajaron durante la pandemia para mantener a los niños de Lawrence alimentados. Pedimos que Lawrence les pague por esta certificación.
